About this tour

▲ Kyushu Volcanic Grassland and Hot Spring Town One-Day Tour|Experience the Healing Journey of Mountains, Wind, and Hot Springs This route has no rush; it's just a process of scenery unfolding slowly.

▲ 【Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine】 With towering cedar trees and deep stone steps, this ancient shrine nestled in the mountains is well-known for the anime "Natsume's Book of Friends." Morning light spills over the moss, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere. It is recommended to slowly walk up the approach, capturing the interplay of stone lanterns and the forest, or make a wish by the "rock-piercing" cave, opening the quiet prelude to today's journey.

▲ 【Mount Aso】 Mount Aso is famous for its vast volcanic landscape. Standing on the observation deck, you can overlook the crater area and feel the quiet flow of the earth's power. The crater of Mount Aso has a strong sulfur smell; those sensitive to odors may bring a mask. The opening of the Aso crater is subject to the official announcement of the day. The shuttle bus fee is complimentary. If it is closed, other attractions will be extended, and no refund will be given. Please consider carefully before booking.

▲ 【Kusasenri】 This is a vast highland grassland with changing landscapes throughout the seasons. When the breeze blows, it feels like a foreign prairie. Horses leisurely stroll in the distance, adding vivid scenes to this journey. It is recommended to walk along the trail, stopping now and then to capture the natural beauty where blue sky, green fields, and distant mountains meet.

▲ 【Kurokawa Onsen】 A hot spring town hidden in the mountains, known for its simple wooden architecture and quiet streets. You can choose to soak in the hot springs (at your own expense) or stroll along the old street, tasting local snacks and enjoying a leisurely pace of life. The autumn valley with red leaves and open-air hot springs is particularly famous. Soaking in the steaming hot springs in autumn, surrounded by fiery maple leaves, warmth and beautiful scenery accompany you—a wonderful experience to enjoy autumn. *If the road is icy in winter and vehicles cannot enter Kurokawa Onsen, the itinerary will be changed to Shirakawa Suigen. Guests staying at Kurokawa Onsen must inform in advance.
