Description
About this tour

▲ Starting from Kumamoto, spend a day immersing yourself in a landscape woven with nature, faith, and hot springs. This route takes you to tranquil shrines, volcanic remains, highland grasslands, and mountain hot springs—perfect for those who love serenity, photography, and slowly soaking in the atmosphere during the journey.

▲ 【Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine】 A shrine hidden deep in the forest, where stone steps and cedar trees create a sense of serene ritual. As one of the inspirations for the anime "Natsume's Book of Friends," it offers a peaceful, secluded atmosphere. We recommend walking along the approach path, taking a close look at the moss, stone lanterns, and the main hall. You can also pause near the "Uwase-no-Ishi" (passing-through stone) for a photo, capturing a moment of inner calm.

▲ 【Mount Aso Nakadake Crater】 Standing at the observation deck overlooking the Aso crater, surrounded by the vast volcanic belt and rugged terrain, you can almost hear the echoes from deep within the earth. The sulfur smell near the crater is relatively strong. Those sensitive to odors should bring a mask. The opening of the crater is subject to official announcements. If it is closed, the time at other attractions will be extended. The shuttle bus fee is complimentary and non-refundable; please consider carefully before booking.

▲ 【Kusasenri】 A vast, endless grassland—one of Aso's most iconic natural landscapes. You may occasionally see grazing horses and drifting clouds, with soft grass underfoot and flowing blue skies above. This is a great place for a leisurely stroll and photography. We recommend bringing your camera to capture the windswept prairie scenery.

▲ 【Kurokawa Onsen】 The tour ends at a hot spring town nestled in the mountains. The streets are not long, but every corner is filled with warm details. You are free to choose to soak in the hot springs (at your own expense), or find a dessert shop in the wooden streets to enjoy a cup of hot tea and some light snacks, bringing a soothing end to the day.

▲ This is a journey that starts from the city and returns to nature—a day of slowly conversing with yourself.
