Description

About this tour

▲ This is a day trip that blends prayer culture, natural scenery, a stroll through a hot spring town, and geothermal wonders. Starting from Fukuoka, you can easily explore the diverse landscapes and tranquil charm of Kyushu. Visit the Frog Shrine for a safe return, gaze at Mount Yufu, stroll through Yufuin Onsen Town, and finally explore the colorful "Hell" hot springs of Beppu.

▲ This small mountain temple, also known as the "Frog Temple," is popular for its many frog statues, symbolizing a safe return. It attracts many travelers seeking blessings. The temple grounds are serene and inviting, with stone steps, woods, and various frog statues in different poses, making it a great spot for photos.

▲ Yufuin is a popular hot spring town in Kyushu. Its small streets are lined with dessert shops, craft stores, and general stores, making it easy and fun to explore while snacking. In winter, the Mount Yufu trailhead will be replaced with extended time in Yufuin (Dec 10 - Mar 10).

▲ A 10-minute walk leads to Kinrin Lake, where the distant mountains are reflected on the water. In the early morning, mist often rises, creating a very atmospheric photo spot. Lunch can be chosen freely at local restaurants, offering set meals, hamburg steaks, hot spring egg desserts, and more.

▲ Umi Jigoku & Kamado Jigoku: "Umi Jigoku," one of Beppu's eight hells, attracts attention with its azure blue water, while "Kamado Jigoku" displays various types of hot spring sources, in red, green, and white steam, making it rich and interesting.

▲ Inside the facility, you can also experience hot spring steamed eggs, geothermal cuisine, or buy specialty souvenirs—a very local cultural experience.
